Quotes
- What information do you need from me in order to provide a quote?
Please let me know the date, location and timings. The more information you provide the more accurate I can quote. If you don't have the date locked in or venue confirmed yet that's fine, I can still give you a rough idea on price.
- How long are quotes valid for?
If you have supplied a date I will make a note in my diary and not do anything with that date without contacting you first so there is no rush or pressure to decide. I will kindly ask though that you let me know either way if you have an update so I can make sure my diary is accurate.
- What if I want something that is not listed on your website?
Get in touch, I am more than happy to be flexible to suit your needs and welcome new requests.
- Where are you based / where do you travel to?
I am based in Leicestershire in the Midlands which is handy to get around the UK as its fairly central. I am also happy to travel further afield and have played at destination weddings in Ibiza and France.
- How much do you charge for a gig?
It depends on timings and what services you require but my prices usually start from £300 for an afternoon set or £400 for an evening set. If you would like a quote please get in touch and I can tailor my services to suit your requirements.
- How do you work out your prices?
I have a standard price list for local gigs. If the location, timings or services differ then this will be reflected fairly in the quote. My quote will include itemised costs so you know exactly what you are getting. My price always includes a fully tailored service and I always make it my top priority to ensure you are completely happy with the music.
- Do you offer discounts?
My price is a fair price for a quality musician and my charges for travel are minimal. I don't offer seasonal prices or a discount for cash. However, I may be able to offer a discount for early payment in full. If you are interested please check at the time of booking.
Bookings
- How do I book you for a gig?
Once you have confirmed the gig details and you are happy with your quote, I will kindly ask for a deposit to secure the gig. Once the deposit has been received we can then discuss your requirements for music.
- How do I pay you a deposit?
I will supply my bank details for a bank transfer.
- What are your payment terms?
Once the deposit has been received, the balance will need to be paid in full and received by at least the day before the gig so we don't have to deal with money on the day.
- Do we need to meet before the gig to discuss options?
I am happy to discuss any requirements over the phone or if you prefer we may be able to meet if convenient but in all cases I will require an email with the full details as confirmation so we have a record in writing.
Gigs
- What time will you come to set up?
I would normally arrive 2hrs before the event start time but this can vary depending on the size of the event and what equipment is required.
- What equipment do you provide?
I provide everything I need to perform which includes full Bose PA. I have a range of different systems suitable for intimate gigs up to events with 300 people. I can also provide DJ booth and Disco lighting for the stage area and dancefloor if required.
- What will you be wearing to the gig?
I can fit in with your dress code or tailor my attire based on the gig type. If it is Corporate / Wedding then I will be wearing a full suit with tie and can also do Black Tie on request,
- What is the best way to tailor the music for the gig?
I like to get an idea of your likes / dislikes ahead of the gig and can tailor the music to suit you. I play a range of different genres and will work with you to ensure the music is suitable.
- Do you take requests?
You can request your favourite songs in advance and I can also take requests at the event.
- What do you need me to provide?
I just need a suitable area to setup in, space for my PA system and access to a reliable mains power source. If we are outside I also need suitable shelter from the elements.
- Do you need refreshments?
Mine's a pint of Cola (no ice & lemon) please!
- How long do you play for?
I don't follow the usual convention of 45 min sets but instead can tailor my sets to suit you and the event.
- Can my friend / family member join you for a song?
I don't share my mic for obvious reasons but I carry a spare for impromptu guest performances. I have run open mic nights for years throughout Leicestershire and Warwickshire and have experience of playing music with people of all ages and abilities. I have also found that a serious guest performance can make an event unique and always welcome the opportunity.
- Do you just do live music?
My evening packages also include DJ sets to complement my live music and provide a full evening's entertainment. I use a DJ controller to professionally mix songs and can also tailor the music to suit you.

- What songs do you play?
I have a vast repertoire which I regularly add to but I am always happy to learn new songs and requests to tailor the music to your event.
- What corporate experience do you have?
I have been playing corporate events since I went full-time in 2014. I have played all over the UK including Northern Ireland and I have a keen interest in business so always approach my gigs with a customer orientated outlook and go out of my way to ensure the music is perfect for your event and works in harmony with what you are trying to achieve. I have a number of regular corporate clients who I provide live music for.
- What weddings experience do you have?
I have been playing weddings since 2014 when I went full-time and have played every aspect of the day including ceremonies, afternoon drinks receptions, wedding breakfasts, early evening and evening receptions. I have played weddings all over the UK and also in Ibiza and France.
- What party experience do you have?
I have played numerous parties over the years including 18th, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th and even 80th birthday parties, I have also played anniversaries, christenings, leaving do's, Christmas parties, house parties, house-warming parties, garden parties and family get togethers.
- Can you play outdoors?
Weather permitting! If it's likely to rain or be really hot I will need suitable shelter for me and my equipment.
- Can you play in a church?
I have a small battery powered setup which gives a high quality sound but allows me to set up anywhere and is ideal for church ceremonies.
